Cass Legacy Scholarship

The Friends of Cass Scenic Railroad, Inc. is proud to present the Cass Legacy Scholarship, an award established to honor the enduring history and vibrant community of Cass. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate a deep appreciation for our region’s heritage and a commitment to carrying its spirit of perseverance and ingenuity into their future academic pursuits. We invite applicants who embody the character of this historic mountain town to share their stories and aspirations as we celebrate the very first recipient of this legacy. 

Two students will be awarded $1000 scholarships at this year’s Cass Days celebration on June 20th.

CRITERIA:

  • Graduating senior at Pocahontas County High School.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Pursuing any post-secondary education: 2-year, 4-year, vocational/trade school
